Rick Pernod has received fellowships from the New York Foundation for the Arts and the New York State Council on the Arts. He was the Poet-in-Residence for the New York Society for Ethical Culture and won awards from the Academy of American Poets and the Bronx Council on the Arts. Some of the publications he has appeared in are Alaska Quarterly Review, New Orleans Review, and The Westchester Review.
