On an invaded bookshelf battlefield
With a Danish amputee legged table,
A couch with hand-picked upholstery
Formed an assaulted circle flanked by two upright chairs.
Across a parade ground of rugs, from wood floor hinterlands,
They marched out, visible, gripping
Lidded cups and crackers, blocks and Legos,
A Kraken infantry of ruin with slim books and bears.
With flares of noise from blinking consoles,
Unrelenting and crazy, unformed and guerilla,
They volleyed victory at the towers of concern.
