Alexis Levitin

Alexis Levitin has been a translator for nearly half a century. His forty-seven books include Clarice Lispector’s Soulstorm and Eugenio de Andrade’s Forbidden Words, both published by New Directions. His work has appeared in well over 200 magazines, including The New York Times, The Partisan Review, The Kenyon Review, The American Poetry Review, Agni, New Letters, Prairie Schooner, Delos, and Osiris.
